Analysis of common failure of jaw crusher frame

Jaw crusher is a necessary equipment for ore dressing plant, milling process, crushing process, etc. The normal operation of the jaw crusher plays a very important role in the entire process.
The frame of the jaw crusher is cast from rigid materials and the manufacturing process is complicated. Let us analyze the common faults and methods during the operation of the frame of the jaw crusher.

Fault 1: The rack is cracked
Reason: This phenomenon is generally caused by the following seven reasons:

(1) The quality problems of the equipment itself caused by the casting technology or welding of the jaw crusher in place;

(2) The material selection of brackets and brackets is unqualified and cannot withstand huge impact forces. It cannot play the role of cushioning and self-protection under impact, but the frame is damaged or broken;

(3) The fixed jaw plate is not strong enough during installation, and loosens in the vibration generated by the long-term operation of the jaw crusher, which hits the front plate rack of the rack and causes damage to the rack;

(4) The basic rigidity of the foot of the equipment host is not fixed, causing the frame to jump;

(5) The bolts of the frame bearings are not tightened during installation, and they become loose;

(6) the tooth profile was not repaired in time;

(7) Due to damage to the eccentric shaft, pin, or loosening of the tightening sleeve, the direction of the counterweight of the flywheel is misaligned.

Failure method:

(1) Find out the location of the original crack, repair it by welding, and replace it with a new one if it fails.

(2) At the same time as changing the frame, the toggle plate and the toggle pad should also be replaced to ensure that they are matched with the frame;

(3) After the frame is repaired or replaced, the tooth plate bolts should be fixed; and the foot bolts of the frame should be tightened to correct the level;

(4) E-board, if any wear is found, it should be replaced in time;

(5) Replace the pin or adjust the direction of the eccentric block, and set the expansion sleeve tightly.
Trouble two: knocking sound at the rear of the rack
There are three reasons:

(1) The lever is not tightened or loose due to vibration during operation, which causes the toggle plate to hit the movable jaw and the toggle pad of the adjustment seat, and makes an abnormal sound;

(2) The sound of the friction between the pull rod and the hook at the lower part of the movable jaw;

(3) When the machine is running, the spring near the frame and the spring seat collide with each other to make a sound.

Failure method:

(1) Tighten the tie rod, and there is often no looseness;

(2) Ensure that the spring force cannot be invalidated. If it fails, replace the paralysis immediately, and pay attention to tighten the tie rod and spring to prevent friction or impact;

(3) Pay attention to the installation position of the spring seat when installing, and also take into account that the tie rod nut is in a reasonable position.


Failure three: Jaw crusher rack is beating seriously
Cause of failure:

(1) The bolts at the equipment feet are loosened or broken under the long-term vibration of the equipment;

(2) The position of the counterweights of the flywheels and sheaves deviates;

(3) The equipment host's foundation is not stable or has no anti-vibration function.

Failure method:

(1) Retighten the anchor bolts or replace them with new ones to strengthen the stability of the anchor bolts;

(2) Timely adjust the position of flyweight and sheave counterweight, and then tighten the bolts and other components;

(3) Add sleepers or rubber to mechanical equipment to strengthen the foundation and strengthen the shockproof function to prevent the frame from jumping.
